In the early days of our company, we used to feed our small team (Jarrod, Dustin, Trey, Brett and Dallin) pizza every Friday. Years before that, I worked at Keap, back when there were less than 20 employees. And guess what we ate for lunch every Friday? That’s right, pizza. Because of these great memories, pizza holds a nostalgic place in my heart. When I made the connection between pizza ROI and business ROI, I had to share it with you!
The Pizza Equation
Pi • z • z = A (where z = radius and A = area)
In other words…
Area = πr2
Looks like you’re finally going to use something you learned in math class after all. Check out this short, pizza explanation video and once you have the foundation down, we’ll move on to how this helps us in business.
Pizza & Business
The key to pizza ROI is the radius of the pizza. An increase in the radius, exponentially increases the square inches in the pizza. The radius is the lever that results in massive growth. With out knowing the numbers and the meaning behind them, it’d be easy to make poor decisions that result in less pizza for every dollar you spend. And that’s just tragic. The same is true in business…
Like the radius of a pizza, your business only has a single constraint that is limiting it’s growth at any given time. The fact is, your business is telling you what to do next to help it grow, you just haven’t been listening.
2x or 3x Growth With Just 5 Tags
Last week I was a guest presenter on a webinar for FixYourFunnel. I showed how a company could use nothing more than 2 of our tag reports to double or even triple their business by identifying their leverage points, and applying focus to the right lever at the right time. I’d love for you to see the replay.
Now fair warning – just about everything that could go wrong with a webinar, did. Thunderstorms, kids entering the home office, you name it. But FixYourFunnel managed to salvage the recording and post it to their website.
You can get everything you need to know to double or triple your business with in the first 30 minutes of the webinar. Enjoy!
Ordering Pizza? Need a Calculator?
Google’s got you covered! Use their handy calculator to get the most square inches for every dollar you spend. The number you’ll input is half of the listed pizza diameter.
For those who are comparing circular pizzas to rectangular pizzas, the equation for calculating the square inches of a rectangular pizza is Area = Length x Width 😉

P.P.S. I know you’re wondering and yes, we do have pizza charts in Graphly! (See Below)
